We’re hiring a Product Designer to join our team in London! We’re looking for someone who loves to design great user-centred experiences, and that is passionate about exploring and understanding how products can improve people’s lives.

You will be part of a talented team of designers, researchers and engineers. We keep our product teams small and nimble, with a balanced skill set of strategy, design and engineering, sharing ownership of product growth and direction. We work in close collaboration — everyone has input and we strive to constantly improve our ways of working.

Make Us Proud/YLD are a digital product design and engineering consultancy, based in Barbican, London, with offices in Lisbon, Porto and Manchester.

We bring to our clients excellence in user experience, design and technology — we are extremely proud of the work we do, and of how we help our clients’ businesses grow.

You’ll be great at this role if:

  • You can demonstrate your ability to design functional and well-considered digital products and experiences
  • You can represent the user and their needs, basing your insights and recommendations on solid research
  • You know when to apply different UX methodologies and techniques to find solutions to the most important user needs
  • You can articulate your design decisions and process
  • You are comfortable using your tools of choice to create mockups and prototypes at varying degrees of fidelity
  • You are keen to learn from users, your team and clients and are also happy to share your process and methodologies with others
  • You are keen to work closely with other designers and engineers to iterate on existing products and create brand new ones

Don’t worry if your experience is not extensive in one or more of these areas. We understand everyone’s strengths are different, and we’re always open to you being able to expand your knowledge in the areas you don’t, if you wish to.

What we will give you:

  • 10% time to work on your self development
  • 25 days annual leave (excluding bank holidays)
  • Flex-time
  • Company pension
  • Private health insurance
  • A new laptop
  • Regular compensation reviews
  • £2,000 annual training budget
  • £300 annual hardware budget
  • 6 months paid parental leave
  • And more!
